TGPU stands for Tok Guru Pulau Ubi, the title associated with Ustaz Mamduh’s late grandfather. The name was chosen not only as remembrance, but to carry a principle: beneficial knowledge should continue through future generations.

TGPU Legacy aims to continue that spirit through online Quran, Tajwid, Arabic and Islamic Education. The goal is not to become “big” quickly, but to build learning that is clear, supportive and consistent.

The letters س and ص can confuse beginners because their articulation points are very close. An important difference is in their sound qualities.

• س is pronounced lightly.
• ص is an emphatic letter and carries tafkhim.
• Do not create ص simply by forcing or squeezing the voice; correct articulation and letter qualities matter.

Start with vocabulary connected to everyday life:

A simple routine works well: say the word, point to the object or image, then repeat it three times. Children often remember better when vocabulary is connected to something visible.

The deeper we study a subject, the more we notice that foundations cannot be skipped. In Arabic and Quran recitation, small gaps at the beginning often become bigger obstacles later.

That is why TGPU Legacy starts from the learner’s real level. A beginner should never be embarrassed to begin with letters, sounds or very basic vocabulary.

A child losing focus does not automatically mean they dislike learning. Sometimes the environment or lesson duration simply does not match their age.

• Prepare a quiet learning space and reduce other screen distractions.
• Make sure the child has eaten, had a drink and used the bathroom before class.
• Use lesson lengths appropriate for age; longer is not always better.
• Praise effort and willingness to read, not only correct answers.
• Keep a consistent routine so Quran class becomes part of normal family life.

For shy children, confidence is usually built gradually through safe and consistent experiences.
